“It’s just a phase”
has become the chant
of humans reminding themselves they can
they can be whole
or just a small piece
they can shine bright as a star
or their light can completely cease
but no matter how they’re feeling
no matter whether or not they’re okay
they are still whole
they’re just in a different phase that day
the light always returns
it always shines bright
the moonlight burns
on even the coldest of nights
think like the moon
and remember it will be alright
