The Bones Turn to Dust

a loud noise, a flash of light and sound

and then the dust

it starts out as a cloud at first

ever expanding into the void

but then it slowly starts to recognize itself

and form connections

rivulets of energy across oceans of time unrealized and unrecorded

then one day…the connections speed up

worlds start to slowly form, turning with the pull of a new force that will later be called

gravity

the gravity of the beginning forms of life is not lost upon the dust cloud, changing form with age

entropy is a divine thing

the dust turns to bones

and the bones learn to walk

and some call themselves human

and now the bones live on the face of a planet still caught in a timeless loop of gravity

around a bright beam of light hurtling towards some unavoidable cavern at the center of a group of beams of light

energy longs to return to its original state

so the bones walk

they run

they multiply

and they return to dust once more

this is the truth of life

the dust is ancient and eternal

the dust forms connections

and the cycle starts again
