Of the Human Condition?
One to be exposed?
Or one to be hidden?
What is the reason
Behind the Chemicals in our brain?
Why do we feel Joy?
What makes us feel Pain?
Why do we pretend to be
Perfect beings that exist?
Pretending we do not hiss and spit.
Why do we ‘take up the cause’
Of saving mother Earth
As if we could continue Living
Without her immediate ReBirth.
Why do we Believe
In some higher being among the stars
And down anyone
That believes they instead came from Mars.
Why do we go through
This thing called Life
Afraid to Live
Afraid to Love
And afraid to embrace the Night?
Why is ‘Feeling’ never Thought of as right?
