Hello and welcome to the Fun House
Why don’t you come on in?
Here, let me take your shoes!
And that suit you call skin!
You don’t need to hide
From society anymore
You can be your true self
Embrace the darkness and be adored
You might have to take a second
To let your eyes adjust
It feels weird without eyelids
And your teeth are there to bust
A permanent and creepy
Kind of grin
Spread open from jaw to jaw
Just like your kin
All you silly humans think you’re so unique
But take away your organs
And there’s a skeleton underneath
Not to mention the ones in your closet
And the ones in your bed
The one you made when
Your morals ended up dead
You’d rather fight for yourselves
Instead of each other
You’d rather live a thousand lives
Than let your body end up in the gutter
As soil to nourish
New plants to flourish
Start life again without you
And without all this skirmish
But again welcome to the Fun House
I hope you feel adjusted
You’ve been here ten years already
But it feels that you just did
The thing that all you humans do
When you meet somebody new
Ya came in
Shook my hand
I said hi, my name is Ben
We’ve got a slide and a ball pit
And obstacles galore
It’s no crime
I hope you don’t mind
That everything is made of gore!
We’ve got your enemy’s livers
Hanging down as punching bags
We have their spleens and spines
All the things that make ya gag
But we long since took
Care of the smell
We encased them in a pretty
And yet protective shell
And so now and forever they’re all on display
At least until you add your own parts to join them one day!
But until then have fun
Come inside and dance until you’re dead tired
Dance and sing and laugh
Until your lungs become expired
Take time to make time
And understand something more than yourself
Because you spent your whole damn life
Collecting dust on a shelf
You’ll only realize one day
When you’re not quite this exposed
It takes more than just yourself
And I think you already know
As a human it’s your duty to be there for your kin
And not turn a blind eye for self preservation and sin
So welcome to the Fun House
And again, my name is Ben
I hope you enjoy carnival music
Because now I’ve drawn you in
And this has been on broadcast
As a message for all your friends
If you do bad like this guy
Then just knock the door and come right in!
Then you’re gonna be here forever
Whether or not you want to go
You could choose to do better in your life now
But for my sake I hope you don’t!
