Woken up by a nightmare
Kept awake by a dream
Sleep is for the weak
Or so that’s how it seems
Recent events have got my mind racing
The future is in my thoughts
I know for a fact I’m going to be big
And I’m ready to take off
My engines are already ready
And my tank is full of gas
I’m only twenty-three
So I know how long I’ll last
Woken up by a nightmare
Kept awake by a dream
My thoughts are a roller coaster
But life’s more simple than it seems
You’ve just got to reach out and take it
Help it happen so you’ll make it
Create your very own heaven
In the life that you’ll be living
Because only you stand in your own way
With the way technology has advanced these days
I was woken up by a nightmare
But this I know is real
If I keep striving for this dream
I’ll never have to settle and make a deal
A deal with survival and what I love
A deal with that man up above
A deal with myself to call it quits
A deal that I know to my soul just won’t stick
So, keep me awake now and forever
As I strive towards this endeavor
You’ll never make it if you don’t try
Humans don’t have wings yet they fly
