Calm

I just want to calm my mind
and feel your hands upon my spine
breathe in your scent at the end of the day
feel in my soul that it’s all okay

I just want to calm my brain
the voices tend to go a little insane
and even though I know they’ll return
your peace is what my soul does yearn

I just want to calm myself
and feel warmth from you and no one else
your breath does hum a soothing metronome
when we’re together this house becomes a Home

so come with me at the end of the night
play with my hair and tell me it will be alright
hold me close and never let go
let us whisper to each other “how I love you so”
