Writers Block And A Pot Of Tea

A small lament about my every looming novel that will one day be finished. It seems an unattainable goal. But I will conquer!…one day…

writer’s block and a pot of tea
is what this story is doing to me
50,000 words on the screen
so close and yet so far it seems
under construction the last five years
every time I try it brings me tears
the block is stuck and dug in tight
like a tick burrowed in for the ride
writers block and a pot of tea
staring at the page with glee
I love the characters and the story too
now if I could just finish it and maybe glue
shut the plot holes and together the pages
make the story line make sense for the ages
