morning misty windows
from this morning’s rain
makes me experience a feeling
I never thought I’d feel again
not a feeling but a memory
from deep down in my core
not of this life but a past life
from many centuries before
I see the mist in passing
on an island long gone
once one large landmass
now several smaller ones
morning misty windows
remind me of the rain
the rain was never-ending
water was the main
morning misty windows
remind me of rebirth
crawling from the ocean
onto the fertile Earth
morning misty windows
remind me of the dawn of man
terror birds abound
ice over the land
morning misty windows
remind me of the first light
upon my own misty window
from a softly raining night
